Wanted: Homer Dwayne Richardson and Cassandra Henry

On 8-31-10 Deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department went to a residence that is located at 1022 West Francis Springs Road to serve a Theft of Property arrest warrant on Cassandra Henry. When deputies arrived at the residence they encountered chemicals which are commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine.  Deputies asked the property owner for consent to search the residence for any methamphetamine related items.  Detectives from the Sheriff’s Department then arrived at the residence to assist in the search.  Upon searching the basement and surrounding woods behind the residence Detectives found chemicals and equipment that is used to manufacture methamphetamine. Based upon the evidence recovered at the scene Detectives have issued arrest warrants for Homer Dwayne Richardson.  The warrants are for Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacturing and for Initiation of a Process Intended to result in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine.

Sheriff Burnett stated that Detectives have been conducting an investigation for the past several months on Mr. Richardson.  Sheriff Burnett also stated that Mr. Richardson was one of the first people ever arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine in Marion County.  Mr. Richardson served time in Federal Prison for manufacturing methamphetamine and for unlawfully possessing firearms from 1999 to 2006.
